Please help me identify this unknown bug!!!! **Update On Johnny Adam**

We call them stink bugs cause when you try to kill them they send off a horrible smell.

It looks familiar to me, but I just can't recall what it is at the moment... so I went to my old trusty ID site, The Bug Guide and looked at the Assasin Bug and looked for the Pine Beetle, but I only found a "Pine Tree Beetle"

If you send them your pics, they will send you a response pretty quickly.

Oh.. I looked at all the Stink Bugs ..and none looked close.. size is different, too.

just to warn you we have bugs like that we call them Assasin bug one landed on my sister and stung her with it little staw thing on its mouth. It left a big discolored whelp on her arm for over a month. I kill them as soon as i see them know.

I think that is a leaf-footed bug. I'm not an inspect expert...I just googled images: stink bugs seem to be more rounder and assassin bugs appear to be bit thinner and have thinner legs...

either way, it's gross!

We get a bunch of bugs of "that type" (I think ours are the assassin ones) in our house ALL the time. I can't stand them...

The leaf footed bug looks very similar and is often confused with the assassin bug but has leaf like back legs. (from what I have read about them) Which my little guy does have leaf like things on his back leggies. It is FREEZING outside so I don't want to put him out to freeze, so we are going to try to keep him until it gets better out.
