hello every one I just bought a little giant 9300 incubator I plan on putting in 12 eggs and the incubator is a still air and I have no egg turner I know I have to flip the eggs 3 times a day but what temp and humidity does it have to be since it’s a still air and how many chains should I fill up with water all of them or how many I will put a picture of my incubator

Start dry with no water at 102 for still air and see where your humidity stands with NO water.

Also invest in a secondary thermometer/hygrometer that can be calibrated instead of relying on the built in ones.

3 times is the minimum number of turning 5 is better... just make sure it is an odd number.

What species and color eggs are you working with?

Happy hatching! :jumpy:jumpy

I am working with red stars and an austrolorp rooster

humidity should be about 40% at the level of the eggs. I like a hygrometer with a probe so I can just lay it at the same level as the eggs. The number of channels you should fill is highly dependent on your environment. You should set it up for a day or two prior to setting eggs so you can figure out how much water you should put in if any. Start with none for about 8-12 hrs and see what the level is. I also like to track humidity by weighing the eggs when candling. If they are not losing enough weight then lower humidity, if air cell is growing too fast then add humidity. I think weighing them is the most accurate way to calculate humidity.
