Please Help Me Name New Puppy

I looked up meanings for words and thought of what might make a nice name with meaning. I appreciate all your tips and suggestions. We decided to call her:

Shelby

With her official name as "Lady Shelby of Edinburgh"

Shelbyville is the name of the town my mother was born. Edinburgh in addition to being well known in Scotland, is a town in Indiana that my Mother and Grandmother and family frequently went to. And I'm part Scottish (both sides)

I thought rather than name her for my profession, that to name her for my Mom and Gram would be kind of cool, since I'm really close with those two.

KittyKelly and Maria66 when I went looking for meanings in foreign languages I came across a cool site that listed names and other words, language of origin, and meaning. I almost named her Edinburgh's Olthlaith (Golden Lady), but my mom really didn't like that name. Olthlaith is Gaeilic. Site is something to do with Digital Dogs.

Fun!

Our herding dog, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, is named "Cheers". She is such a happy dog - always willing and wanting to please. It just fits and is easy to call over long distances. She is registered as "Four Cheers for Me"

She'd be thrilled to share the name!
