I have searched high and low and cannot find my city or county listed any where no matter what I type in, I did however find on my city government page dated 2010 where someone asked about livestock in city limits in court, the highlighted areas is what were answered to her.
I'm trying to understand them in regards to chickens in my backyard in city limits. Any input is greatly appreciated.

In the first highlighted area birds but no chickens are mentioned. Second section it allows you to have them but they must not create excessive noise, smell that would be unacceptable to your neighbors. Secondly they cannot be kept within 300 ft of any home or place of business. Talk with your closest neighbors if you are closely built homes, let them know you wish to own chickens. If needed show them your coop, think about neighbor dogs and cats as well as kids that might have access to your yard. Keep them back from not only your home but others by 300ft. I was in a home owners association as well as a realtor but simple legal stuff. You might look for others on here in your area for further info. You can always call a local 4h club as well they are use to all the laws in your areas. Good luck. Hope it helped. The other section deals with people offering animals as prizes again not dealing with ownership.

Thank you, I was hoping it was yes but 300 feet in clean & quite conditions.
luckly I have no HOA, we are backed to the forest that's a no build area, we have a fully fenced yard and I'm pretty sure the far back side is 300+ feet from the two flanking neighbors. Hoping to talk to them this week.

Before I moved here I lived in Aurora Colorado. My kids and I wanted a few chickens but it was banned in city limits regardless how much land you had. So I moved! Now I can have whatever I want. People here think america is so free but when I tell them about some of our laws well they cant belive me hardly. Like what color you can paint your house, fencing, animals, plants, grass vs rocks the list is endless. Life is greener on other pastures. Long as you keep a reasonable limit to your level of animals you should be fine. I would watch for predators though backing to open forest.Good luck.
