I do not want to have to get her fined or get her birds taken, I know she really enjoys them. However after reading these posts it seems that is the direction to go.
You sound like a reasonable person...maybe SHE is not so reasonable but all you can do is try and explain to her that you don't mind her keeping her hens but if she would please just get rid of the rooster....let her know your intentions and that if it keeps up then you will make the call . I think talking works better then action. I think you may have said you talked to her before?? Try again before getting her hens taken from her. I think it will only cause more trouble between you both if you go that route and who knows what will happen to the hens.
