Please help me, what breed are these 3 wk old chicks? One has blue legs and the other yellow.

The slate leg bird is an Easter egger. It has little muffs on its cheeks.

I think they're both Easter eggers. The one with yellow legs could be a white Wyandotte but I think that is less likely. Time will tell.

Would anything be stopping the slate legged from being a true ameraucana?

I suppose info on where they came from would help with this.

I ordered them from mcmurry hatchery. After everyone’s help and a bit of research I think the slate leg one is an ameraucana and yellow legs is whiting true blue. Thanks!

Murray Mcmurray actually doesn't sell TRUE ameraucanas, despite what they call them.

Their breeding stock has existed before the standard of perfection for the breed was created - and prior to the SOP they did have Ameraucanas because there wasn't rules to say otherwise. So they believe they are "grandfathered" into calling their birds ameraucanas, when in reality the don't make breed standard and are actually an Easter Egger
