Please help me with my duckling!

That’s the hardest part of having an older larger duckling in with tiny ones. First off they need a larger brooder then you can have all 3 together but make a separation using something they can see through to see each other an share the heat lamp. I used a piece of hardware cloth wrapped in gorilla tape and use it as my separation when I had new littles an 3 weeks old in the same brooder. Hopefully the little will recover and just got a slight sprain. Just make sure all 3 are getting the b complex daily for leg support.

This started when?

Just yesterday, tweety accidentally either stepped on or bumped him/her.
I finally found a veterinarian that will look at a duck, she normally does birds. When we needed a veterinarian for Little Bit, I googled for hours and couldn’t find a thing. I searched for an avian or duck vet up to yours away and there were no results :( I finally searched bird vet when this new duckling got his foot hurt and found one. We too him around 2-3 hours ago and she checked him out. She did X-rays and an exam, she said she moved his leg and it didn’t seem painful he just can’t really open his foot it stays curled. She went ahead and did some laser therapy and told us to come back a few times a week and hope it helps. She said there was nothing for her to splint and there is just a bit of trauma on that “ankle” part of her leg. I’m hoping there is someone out there who has gone through this and knows what to suggest or there is a vitamin or something we can order to help speed the process.
