I need help, it's like my chicken is paralyzed only moving her head sometimes. We soaked her in warm water with soap and warm water with epsem salt while rubbing her thinking maybe she was egg bound but she is still the same. It seems like she is trying to push it out but I don't know what to do. Is there something else that could be going on?

    Welcome to BYC.
How long has she been like this?
Was she eating and drinking fine earlier?

Very gently, can you feel the egg? A dose of liquid calcium, and long warm baths oftentimes work.

We just noticed last night. I was gone for a few days so I'm not sure if she was acting weird before. I've tried to feed her and put the tip of her beak in water to drink but she won't do anything

I tried to feel but I don't really know. I haven't tried liquid calcium. Thanks for the advice

Is she an egg laying girl?
    How old/young is she?

Did you recently bring any new chickens home?

She is about 5 years old and she does lay eggs. We brought 3 new chicks home maybe 2 months ago... do you think she got something from them?

I could guess....but would not know for sure.

    What breed is she?
She could just be getting old..you know.

The not drinking part is when an IV comes in handy.
