please help me!!

My silkie hen is ready to lay but hasnt started yet she is the last one to begin laying she looks like shes trying to lay an egg but she hasnt laid one yet and its been a day. she contracts her body stretches her neck and opens her mouth and makes a little noise she looks as if in pain what can i do to help her relax and fix thus problem
