Please help! Mite infestation!

please help! I let my chicks run around in one of my coops for less than 10 minutes to discover them with mites covering them head to toe. I had no idea I had mites at all so I took them out immediately, please help! What do I do! I have given them a bath but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. There are so many mites I can peel them off with my fingers

Where are you located in the world?
IF in the US, use a permethrin based poultry spray or dust to treat the chicks. Clean out the housing and treat that too. Do this in 7 day intervals.

I didn’t take any photos unfortunately but I’m located in Cali. But they were and are still everywhere. I will try to see where I can get anything with permethrin as well

The odd thing too is most of my older chickens don’t have any, but only my younger ones.

Older ones may dust bath more, but if the mites are on them too, then treating all your birds would be wise.
