i have a Silkie that is in its own brooder. She has really bad pasty butt. Well over the last 2 weeks, it's mostly cleared up. The last 3-4 days she's really gotten her energy back and is starting to act like a normal chick! Until this morning. She was fine last night but this morning she is laying in her brooder lifeless. She's breathing. Totally limp when I pick her up though. I tried getting her to drink and eat, nothing. Her mouth is hanging wide open like she's already dead. But she's still breathing. She was fine the last few days! What happened?? Is it too late to save her?

Sounds like she might have a crop blockage... can you tell if it's full. squishy or hard? Other digestive issues is a possibility. What did you do to clear up the pasty butt? What are you feeding? Hot any supplements?
