Please help my duckling has a foamy eye

If you have a pet store close they would carry eye ointment.

Is eye ointment a must? Or will salty water work too?

And is this rare or deadly for a duckling?

If it’s just foamy eye from not washing its face then be sure to give them a bowl so they can dunk their heads. If it was to become an infection from respiratory then it may need something like the eye ointment also. You can order the Terramycin eye ointment off Amazon

Have you experienced foamy eye? How did you treat it? Was it just a case of water for their nose?

I’ve only had Muscovy drake with foamy eye and it was during winter when they don’t have a pool but he only had it a few days he managed to remedy it by washing his head in a bucket of water with ACV added. And I have a nice medicine kit set up for my animals with just about anything I could need including Terramycin eye ointment. You could try a little Apple Cider vinegar in their water if they have a quart of water put a teaspoon of ACV in it at that strength it won’t sting but it does have antibacterial priorities.

I can't find how many eggs white Campbell ducks lay in a year online, does anyone know how many eggs and what age they begin laying? Plus will these white campbells be too noisy for a built up neighbourhood back garden?
