Please help! My incubator won't stay regulated and it's hatch time!!

Ok so I slept for a couple hours and woke up to lots of chirping coming from the incubator. Jumped outa bead and still no progress on the hatching, but egg #1 is just a singing in there and wiggling around. It seems as though the other 2 aren't doing anything at all at this point. No worries though if I only hatch the one I have a brooter of 6 babies right now that I purchased 4 days ago at 1 day old.

I'm wide awake now and everytime he starts chirping in there I jump up thinking he's on his way out, so hopefully it won't be long. Thanks for the advice and for checking back in on us.

What is your humidity? I would get it up around 65% at this point. And to help regulate the temp wrap it in a fleece blanket. But watch out because it can get too warm. If you don't want to or can't afford a hova get a fan kit for the LG that will help some. I have noticed with my LG (I have 3 hova's) that the humidity is hard to keep up at lock down. You can just pipe it in through one of the vents using a straw or the fish tubing from walmart.
If they are pipped over 24 hrs with no progress I would worry about shrink wrapping. Or if you have been opening the bator shrink wrapping could also be a problem.
Good luck with your hatch. I have 9 chicks from 11 eggs so far with the last 2 pipped. Sending you some hatching vibes.

I don't know what the humidity but I have all the channels about 1/2-3/4 full and a sponge I've been keeping wet all night. I've just been using a baby medicine syringe in the vent holes so I don't have to open the lid. I had a humidity thermomator but I think it might have gotten wet or something b/c it quit working on me about 1/2 way through. Still no more piping but occassional chirping. I also wrapped the incubator in a fleece blanket. I hope you're 2 pipes hatch out soon too. This hatching business sure is nerve wracking!! LOL

YAY!! We can finally see our little chick that's been talking our heads since last night. He's slowly working but I am concrned that I don't see his "tooth". I thought they were suppose to have some sort of tooth on their beak that helps them break open the shell? His beak looks like a normal chick beak too me. And no worries on friends for him if he's the only hatcher. I have a brooter with 6, 6day old bantams in it right now just waiting for him to join them

I have a pic I'd love to share but can't figure out how to upload it too here??

Save your picture on your computer. Then go to uploads on the blue bar above and when you get there browse for your picture and then submit. When the image comes up - I just copy /paste the image code to a new message. Hope that makes sense.

Well I got one chick and maybe the other too will still hatch but it's not really looking good at this point. I'm happy I at least got on though on my first attempt and I only had 3 so not too bad especially with the temp problems. Thanks everyone for you're advice and encouragement!!!
