They will sometimes give up after being caught and just lie there. So, he is holding the leg up? Is there any possibility of seeing a vet for an xray? With another pair of hands holding him, you could really do a thorough exam of the leg. I hope he is alright.

Our closest avian vet is an hour away!! He does like to hold it up, though he will let it drag as well. It is very red and is swollen.

If he is able to lift and tuck it, very hopefully it is not broken, and time will heal his injuries.

I did run in to my house and screamed "TINO IS DEAD!!" to my dogs, they cocked their heads them one started shaking.

Ok, I'm here. My parents think he is fine even though he is having a very hard time walking. He gets no special arrangements tonight. They want him to jump 4 feet on the hard roost, and jump down 4 feet. I'm working on that but they don't like letting me make official choices lol.

He should not be roosting at all with his leg injured. Do you have a dog crate?

He is walking on it a bit better. I can set up a ground roost for him, but I doubt he will use it.
