Please help! My sweet hen has something wrong with her foot

I've noticed my hen limping so I examined her feet and I found the right foot to have some swelling. Her other foot is fine. Has anyone seen this before?

your poor hen!
it may be Bumblefoot, and if it is, it will get worse, and your hen will have to suffer and it could be fatal. I do not know the treatment, but here is a link to a website that does.

good luck! and thank goodness you spoke out quickly! it seems to (luckily) be a mild case. (be warned, there are some disgusting pictures in the website!)
i hope this helps! and by the way, you may want to do some research on the symptoms of bumblefoot just to confirm that she does have bumblefoot! And remember, ACT QUICKLY!!!

thank you so much for your help. Thankfully I have a great vet who treats my chickens and he confirmed bumble foot. I am having him do the surgery. I get to pick her up tomorrow. Hopefully she will be better soon!

Thank you for the info! I really appreciate it. My vet confirmed it was bumble foot so now we wait for her to have surgery tomorrow and hopefully have it all fixed up for her.
