I think you should just let them do their thing I am a bit confused about whether you are asking for help or just giving updates and wondering why something is happening so you can ignore this post if you are just doing a hatch along. By the way you seem to be doing good

The baby is having trouble though, it probably won't be able to hatch on its own.

Ya it sucks but I am trying again with quails day 17 right now. I don't expect much my incubater stoped working and I think most of the clutch is dead but a few are alive and without the mistakes from my other failed quail hatching I would not know how to deal with this

I wish you the best of luck! Sorry you're having problems. Learning how to incubate is a process. It's not for the faint of heart for sure. I hope you get some!

He still acts like he's absorbing yolk even though its been way more than 24 hrs since he started.

Would it be ok to give him some sugar water through a dropper? Ive heard it gives them energy.
