Please Help! One of my runners died

@happyf33tz, sad to read of your loss.  Tough.  Yes, I can see he would be lonely.  For now, can you get a nonbreakable mirror and maybe a stuffed toy for company?  Of course your company may help alot, too.  Wise to look for a runner who is close in age and size.  If you are looking for a drake, I don't think you will have trouble finding one.  What part of the world do you live in?

I live in Murrieta, California. Any info on where to buy a make indian runner would be greatly appreciated.

, and best of luck with your duck management!

Meyer Hatchery in Ohio is where I ordered my runners from, and they actually were shipped from Chula Vista, California. I wonder if the hatchery there sells direct.

There is a Buy-Sell-Trade forum on BYC, and a Rehoming forum, too. If you want a drake, I would look at rehoming first. Drakes are quiet, but they can be too aggressive with the ducks (girls) so people try to find them new homes.

A general rule of thumb is one drake to three or more ducks. Just something to keep in mind.

I love ducks. The social structure management is a challenge, though.
