Maybe since you have so many together they have kinda a "pack mentality" - one shows fear of the hand and the rest react to their fear, not sure if it's more nature than nurture, meaning some of my adults and babies are fine with being pet all over and some insist on it, straining to push their little bodies into my hand lol but then there are still others that flinch when you go to touch them and would rather run into a wall in vain, haha!!

The mealworm idea is a great one, grit is small sharp/coarse stones or other safe and hard material that birds use to grind up pretty much anything other than their dry crumble, from veggies to hard seeds and other treats like apples (beware of the seeds - toxic to animals). My quail use ground up oyster shell, you can buy a bag at the feed store I bet and you only need a little bit at a time, should last forever hehe. Some will be too big for them but they will find the right bits to swallow to grind up food and the oyster shell has added calcium as well :)

Yah... When I try to ttrain them in 3, i had good luck. One was deathly afraid of me, don't know why I tried to train it, but after I finished, it was lying in my hand lettimg me pet it. Too bad I dont know which one it is anymore

Can you take them off? If so are they easy to take off? I don't quite like keeping those clips on because my budgies always pick at them, and theres no easy way I can get them off. Poor babies :(

They are easy to take off. None of my birds pick them. Sooner you put them the better. This way you will know your birds better and you will be able to distinguish between them.
