Equibling, I have been hatching straight out since July! LOL My youngest are just 2 weeks. I am keeping them in, but your situation sounds great!

equibling...I never had any idea that there was so many crazy people as me...hatching out chicks in the Fall.

Jen...we went to Playa del Carmen which is likewise on the beautiful Yucatan about south about 30 minutes south of Cancun.
Stayed at the coolest resort Shangrila Caribe in a beach front bungalow.
We also visited the ruins at Tulum and spent a day on Cozumel.
AND shopping!

[Rare Feathers Farm]

Yeah--I lost seven birds in the last month to the cold--I could not figure out why, either. I've had birds in that coop for YEARS

--My hubby thought it was the "rare breeds" and true, most of them did not have much substance to them--but I found out they were playing/splashing/walking/falling into the water, getting wet/chilled and dying.

I ordered pop bottle waterers and have not had that issue again. Sighs. The juveniles are doing so well I may leave them in the tank for another month or so. There are only four in there now & it's a large tank. I made a little "A-frame" roost and they seem to be thriving.

We were on the coast near Chichen Itza.

Jen sadly they sold out and are converting it into condos or something.

If you go to their website (if its still up/it was before Xmas) and email them they will email you recommendations for resorts like theirs.
(I just checked, its still there)
This place has SOOO much atmosphere!
So much nicer than a typical hotel or beach front high-rise.
We will never do all-inclusive/guided tour thing.
We loved riding all over in busses and cabs.
We were only there for a week.
Much more to do and see.
