Thank u so much I've been soo worried about him he is my main rooster and such a sweet boy . I don't wanna lose him . Glad he will recover bc it sure looks like a nasty disease no signs on my others yet but it may be bc they r young hens and their combs r smaller and maybe I can't really see .

Does dry pox turn into wet pox ? I know that the wet one is the one to worry about . How do u prevent the wet pox ?

Two different viruses. Both carried by mosquitoes. And there is only so much you can do about those little suckers.

Yea , they are bad by my house too when it's warm . This colder weather has kept them at bay for a lil while but when it warms up they come back with a vengeance. But for now it's too cold so may be the weather will kill off all them nasty things

Even if it's below freezing, it's not going to kill them off. Mosquitos can even survive in Alaska.
