I have some Polish chicks which are about 7-8 weeks old. I got them in two groups from a local auction. After first getting them, a few died immediatedly. They were 1 week old then. The golden polish seem to be doing okay. But the grey/white polish are not. The while was the smallest and is currently dying as I type. A few days ago she was separating herself from the flock more and looking less healthy. I separated her and put a friend with her giving them food, water and a heat lamp. The gray polish I put with her was the second smallest and is now looking a little peeked also. Basically, They start not eating much, less water consumption, drooping heads with closed eyes. They down roost as much as try to stand to sleep and wobble. Once they get bad enough, they just drop their face into what ever is infront of them. I did some reading and it looks a bit like Bursal disease. The rest of my flock (40 other chickens of different breeds) seem fine. Just the Polish have been bad off. Any suggestions? How to treat? Where to get meds???? Help!
