Please help sick runt chick. Can't figure out the problem. NOW WITH VIDEOS, PLEASE WATCH!

They are on medicated chick feed. All my other chicks are fine.
I was trying to still give it medicated chick feed with the baby supplement so that the change wouldn't hurt its tummy.
I said that i couldn't give it poly-vi-sol because no where near me sold it.
I tried everything. I gave it sugar water when it was going down hill, that did not help so i switched back to plain water because i heard sugar water would dehydrate them.
I fed it medicated chick feed and the baby bird formula (wet/oatmeal type texture).
I was giving it normal water on a regular basis.
When it didn't want to eat, i boiled a egg and crumbled up the yolk and tried to feed it that. It ate the tinest bit and wouldn't eat any more.
All the others are perfectly healthy.

But like i said above, the chick died last night..

You have not talked about the nutritional side of this? Are you feeding this chick medicated chick feed that is smooched in water or not? Have you added to this chicks feed or water, sugar to give it more energy to burn up? You have given it Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol but what real foods and food groups are you offering this baby to compensate for the missing proteins? I hope it is high in proteins bc I think since the entire yoke inside the egg it was born in was not entirely absorbed and it is lacking in proteins, protein and more protein and you can offer it now by giving it foods high in proteins being slowly hand fed in tablespoon size amounts. You need to introduce them a bit at a time by mincing them up or grinding them in like a coffer grinder (I use it to mix and break up seeds) these foods offer substance other regular food does not like! eggs (scrambled or hard boiled or fried), flax seed, linseed, sunflower seed no shells ground up, broccoli & cauliflower cooked soft and then crushed up, cooked chicken minced up in a food processor, corn frozen in a bag and steamed, mealworms, cottage cheese with flax seed, linseed, sunflower seed no shells ground up in it. Good luck there is my 2 cents I wish you the best with this little baby......

Sorry for your loss. It sounds like he had developmental issues and would not have made it. You tried to help him, and he was so adorable.

And forgive me for making note of this, but baby parrot food that is listed 'for all baby birds' is only good short term and for Most species. Birds are extremely diverse, and a bird that eats only insects or lots of fish will not get the protein needs met by these pet parrot feeds. I know one company has been sued for that labeling but I'm not sure what came of it. I have worked for wild bird rescue and they almost never touched the stuff.

I just want to make sure that everyone is aware of this. Like I said, it's okay for short term for most species but won't meet the needs of many growing birds. Mis-knowledge (and mis-labeling!) kills.

I didn't know that, thank you.
I just assumed that because a few other chicken keepers have used it, that it was ok.
I understand what you mean though. If i had a choice i would have gotten some proper chick supplements

.
It all just happend so fast and i couldn't wait for something to come through the mail.
Ive learned to always have this stuff on hand, ahead on time, now.

Sorry to anyone if i came off as snippy. That was not my intention.
I was just under alot of stress trying to help it and felt like i wasn't getting anywhere.
I understand everyone was just trying to help.

We gave the chick a nice burial today.
I hope its at peace now.
