Please help- very sick DUCK

My 3 yr old welsh harlequin male is sick. He's off balance, falling down and his neck seems cramped or limp alternately. He's lethargic and I can't seem any apparent injury. I've never had a duck problem before- what should I look for? What does this sound like?

Sounds like botulism. I hope he is still alive.

I agree with Amiga, who is more of a duck expert than I (who knows very little.) Ducks are very prone to botulism which they can get by eating carcassses of fish or animals, maggots, or pond mud that contains the botulinum toxin. It can kill them within 24 hours, but if they live 2 days, they may make it. Supportive care, and help with feeding and drinking is the most you can do. Here is some reading:
