I'm not a big fan of penicillin. It's been over used for decades, and some bacteria appears resistant to it, and it's also terrible about causing yeast infections. Baytril is much more effective for reproductive infections. So is amoxicillin.

In addition to treating for infection, I'd also make sure to give her extra calcium daily for at least a week.
