My chicken has started doing this with her eye, there is no discharge she is still behaving normally and eating. Can I please get help figuring out what is wrong and how I can help her?

Perhaps something has gotten into her eye or she got scratched/pecked in that eye?

Something that you can do that will have zero negative effects is flushing the eye twice a day with a saline solution, which can help move out anything that might be agitating it.

Am I right from the picture and your description that it's just that one eye and not both?

Later in the afternoon I noticed she developed a white cloud looking thing in both eyes, I have isolated her she is asleep now, I will try to take an updated picture of her in the morning but found this picture that looks similar to what I saw in her eye.
9/2/25: I was able to take a picture of her this morning.

Her eyes are still cloudy and no discharge, sneezing, or coughing. She is still eating and drinking water she slept all day but noticed her droppings have changed.

Is it very hot where you are? Looks like a cecal with some extra moisture in it. I've used Eggcessive's suggestion of terramycin on one of mine with an irritated eye. 2x/day for 1 week made a big difference for her.

I would also apply a small dot of antibiotic ointment such as Terramycin or plain Neosporin ointment 2-4 times a day into the eye. Peck injuries are common. Look for any debris or dirt in the eye, bubbles or gunk.
Thank you, I am unable to get Terramycin without a prescription and there are no vets in my area that see chickens. I will try the neosporin.

Hi, no it has been in the 80s-70s recently and drops to the 60s and high 50s at night time.
