Please help with gender - 8 week old variety

Hello all! Our babies are now about 8 weeks old. One of the Sebrights turned out to be a rooster so we had to return him. I've been reading A LOT of the posts and guessing on the gender. Do we have any more roosters in these pics? Please let me know!

From L->R - Roxy (Polish), Ally (Patridge Rock?), Yoshi (Sebright), Spook (Mille Fleur D'uccle) and AJ (Speckled Sussex):

The Partride Rock(?) in the back seems like a hen? But a bantam because she's small?

Here's another pics of Ally.. Do her hackle feathers (by the neck?) seem pointy? Then a roo? But comb isn't large at all and hardly a wattle...

Here's AJ, the Speckled Sussex. Hoping she is a hen but she seems large ...and look at her legs. Does she only seem large because all the others are small?

Here's AJ with Yoshi, the Sebright. The Sebright seems like a hen just because the other Sebright we returned had larger and redder comb and wattles.

And finally, Spook, the cutest Mille Fleur D'uccle

Roxy looks to me like a pullet. Now I dont have any polish so I am not too clear on this one. I do know that hens have the nice even hairdo like your polish does and the roos have a wild and crazy rocker hairdo, and I dont see it. I thib
nk it should have showed up by this time.

Ally is a pullet. She is not a partridge rock. She is an Old English Game Bantam (black breasted red).

AJ; She looks like a a pullet. I do not see any pointy hackle feathers.
And the way you have that one picture with the one feather over your hand, that is perfect to show that the feathers are blunt. Right in the right spot.

I bet you will get some nice big eggs from her.

The sebright I will take your word for it and say pullet. Sounds good to me.

The Mille Fleur D'Uccle is a pullet.

I *think* your polish is a roo. Mine WC Black pullet at around 16 weeks still doesn't have much if any red on her face at all (neither do my other polish pullets).

Especially at that age they had nothing.

This isn't a great picture but all I have right now. This is around 6 weeks.

I would say the Polish and the SS are both male.

Ohhh- we would be so disappointed if AJ, the speckled sussex is a rooster!

How can you tell if he/she is ? She (I'm in denial) barely has a wattle. S/he doesn't have much of a tail feather- seems pretty blunt. Please let me know how I can tell the difference at this age.

Polish aren't my area of expertise but that looks like a roo, and AJ is DEFINITLY a roo. Big red comb and wattles.

Rest are pullets.

I don't think AJ is a roo. Everyone of my Speckled Sussex Rooster started out with much more white in their breasts than the pullets. And recently there was a thread with several Speckled Sussex breeders stating they noticed that trend in their birds as well. But I could be wrong, it has happened before.

your speckled sussex is pretty pink in the face, but whos to ?say it may still be a pullet. In the first picture where you have your thumb and 1 feather over the top of your thumb? That feather should be either pointed or blunt on the end. It looks blunt blunt to me. I think it is a pullet.

Dont jump to any conclusions too soon. Can you take a few more pics like that one where you have a feather over your thumb right at the back of the neck on both the speckled sussex and the polish? That would be great. Make sure it is up a little higher and right at the back of the neck.

Thank you for your input! I will try and take more pics tomorrow. I also checked out the links, which were very helpful! I'd really like to say pullet... but I'll try and post better pics tomorrow. BTW- Roxy, the Polish, definitely has character! Can you tell from his expression?

AJ is pretty calm.
