We used a garden hex netting cut it was smaller than the chicken wire. I'll take a couple pics of it so yell can help me figure it out. She's finally closing her eyes.

Today I noticed my duck was having trouble breathing and wasn't quacking. I brought the duck inside and my friend told me to give the duck pedyalite and run water over he/she nose. I noticed he/she neck was swollen a little bit on the right side. And I looked and it looks like 2 bite marks. I put some medicine and bandaged it up. He/she is having a hard time breathing and isn't really eating. I also crushed up a tiny piece of ibuprofen because he/she looks like he/she is in pain. PLEASE HELP ME WITH INFORMATION ON WHAT TO DO HE/SHE IS MY FAVORITE DUCK AND IVE GOT REALLY ATTACHED.

Do you have a farm vet near by it only cost me 30 dollars and I got some antibiotic for her she is a chicken though

How long would you say the snake was?

Idk what that is. Might be a mud snake if it had an orange belly. Can't really see the head to see if it's something else. Not a coral, copperhead, rattler and too skinny to be a water mocassin. Might be a ringneck but I can't see a ring in the picture.

It's probably not a poison snake but that doesn't mean that whatever got your little duck on the neck could not have been another snake! I lost a 4 week old duckling to a huge 6' king snake a few years ago!
