Hi Everyone,
We just bought a 2 month old rooster last week and it turns out he might be seriously ill. Thankfully we kept him separate from the rest of our flock. I almost put him in a cage with the rest of our chickens so that they can get to know each other, but someone advised me against it in case he was sick. I am so glad I listened. We decided to put him in a cage in the barn away from my flock.
Anyways we noticed a red puddle in the cage. It seems to be he is pooping blood. Any idea what this means and what we can do for him? So far we have had a very healthy flock so I am not sure what to do with a sick chick. I will be reading through my books to see if I find anything, but in the meantime if anyone here might know what it is I'd really appreciate the help.
