Please help with sick peacock

Baytril, Cipro, Clavamox, Augmentin or maybe amoxicillin, that's what I would look for in that order. One could try to find pigeon breeders or someone that raises fighting birds, either type of owner is likely to have one or more of the drugs.

I could up the dose tomarrow, I dont think it will harm her. Im going to take a better video tomarrow because the lighting in the video isn't good at all. She doesnt have eye matting or swelling or any drainage from nostrils and the video makes it her eyes look dark around them. Could I find Baytril at a feed store or is that a med that a vet has to perscribe?

OK, so there is no swelling of the face or matting around the eye. I am inclined to think it is the same thing we had. Baytril had zero effect on our birds, two weeks of Tylan injections did clear it up in the sickest bird. I think upping the dosage of Tylan is the best choice. AND continue the Corid.

If she were mine I would give her another 0.9ml *before* I went to bed, then 1.4ml 8-12 hours from now, then 1.4 every 12 hours.

No she eats on her own. I was going to tube feed my sister in laws pea because it had a broken beak but it had died befor I got the chance to even see the poor thing.

@KsKingBee , I can't remember, did the vet ever test your bird for mycoplasmosis? I'm still wondering it that is what this bird might have, which would explain the slow response to Tylan and the relapsing nature of the illness... The other antibiotic that is mentioned frequently in that instance is the Denaguard/ tiamulin, which is supposed to work better than Tylan to treat that... I don't know if she could get that any quicker?

The other thing is, I know Shay isn't comfortable with giving injections, but at this point, maybe there would be someone locally who could help give the Tylan injection safely?

I had a sick bird early in July I had tested and it came back negative. It was positive for e-coli and pseudomonas, Zactran cured it in quick order although I believe that Duramicin would also show good results. Tylan was useless for that one.

By the info in Wikipedia MS shows bubbly eyes which my birds never had.
