little eagle is eating really good this morning but thats normal. Shes doing alot better then last night. Im going to give her the 1.4ml of Corid after shes done eating. Its so sweet you guys when im holding her befor or after I give her her meds she presses her beak up against the bottom of my chin and just holds it there and sleeps! I think she knows im her real mom lol!

She looks pretty good! I know 1.4ml seems like a lot, but if you go by what the makers Tylan say, that is the correct amount. It's also in line with what my veterinary books say.

That is a relief, after looking at that video last night I wasn't sure that she would last the night. Seeing that she has a good appetite and she is responding well to the meds I think she will be fine if you continue what you are doing.

My little (not so anymore) SweePea was a little cuddle bug too. Yesterday we went strolling about the yard and she let me hold her for a while. It was nice that she would lay her head on my shoulder while I stroked her back. She is kind of forgetting me because I don't play with her every day and she is has become one of the flock.

well she just pooed this.....it was really difficult to give her the corid today without my husband Bens help! I got it done though. I wanted to take a pic of her poo before I cleaned and sanitized her cage. I just dont know what to think.....

my peas do not drink very much water unless it is breeding season ..my chickens ,geese and ducks drink 5 times more

If she is eating good you can wet down her food and she will get more fluids that way.
what are you feeding her now?

I'll second that! My peas hardly drink any water either, but that could be mostly due to the fact that I only feed a wet mash and they get their moisture that way.

If Little Eagle is eating well why don't you put her meds in the food like I do? If you know how much she is going to eat, mix the meds, both the Corid and Tylan, in a little water and mix that into her dry food. give it to her in the morning and don't give her any other food until that is completely gone. That will remove any of the stress of trying to pry her mouth open and drizzling the meds down her throat and possibly going down the trachea.

Thats what I have been doing with the Tylan and I just finished doing the Sam with the Corid. Ahhh talk about a relief of stress! She ate all the mediated food I mixed up so I put more (game bird/showbird 22%) in her dish just incase she wanted more food. I only put enuf to get the meds in her and Inc its g on I put more food out, i feed her hard boiled eggs as a treat and its high im protein and sometimes I put bananas mixed with her crumbles. I have been trying not to put anything in her food that will cause her to have diarrhea , im trying to keep it simple and get her better as soon as I can. She seems to be better today unless its just hopeful thinking....
