No - a regular light bulb is too bright for their eyes. If not all feather out, and as someone else said, they've been stressed. Give them a red heat lamp.

Feed them chick starter/grower.
If a red lamp is not available, a regular bulb will work just fine. I have used one many times.

im new to this but have read all over the internet and on here that a regular house light is just fine. i have only hatched 1 set of eggs in bator and regular light in brooder and these chicks are doing awesome.
