I'm so discouraged. My fleur mearl roo is about a year old is so nit himself. His neck is crooked like wry neck but one pupil is bigger than the other. He is off balanced when i go to pick him up and also walks in circles. He still crows though. I'm giving him vitamin e and b1 and selenium. I've seen him peck the ground and drink by himself. I'm just not sure. There's no other factors that i can see for mareks. My other girls are fine. Nobody seems out of sorts. I just don't know what to do. There aren't any chicken vets either I'm on my own. Please help. I'll pay pics tomorrow.

Wry neck (torticolis) is a neurological symptom which can a sign of head or neck injury, vitamin E or thiamine deficiency, and is seen in some diseases including Mareks, exotic Newcastles, fowl cholera and others. Can you post pictures of his eyes? The walking in circles can be related to wry neck. Does he have any weakness of either leg or wings? I will check back in the morning.

I have a short video but it won't let me upload it. How can i do that so you can see what he's doing?

Videos should be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo with a link here. Mareks can cause brain inflammation, but head injury, brain tumor, or strikes could be a cause of his problems. Are his pupils fuzzy or sharp in both eyes, and is the color bright and the same in each eye, or dulled? He might be blind in either eye and could be tilting his neck to see, and imbalance might be a side effect. Very hard to know the exact cause. We cannonly guess.

The color is bright and pupils are sharp in both eyes.

Can you shine a light in that left eye and see if the pupil gets smaller?

His eye with the bigger pupil doesn't change when i shine a light on it but the other one with dilate when i shine a light in it.
