This little guy hatched almost 48 hours after the others. When he kicked out of his shell his butt was still attached to the egg and he bled a bunch and just laid there. I thought he was going to die. I left him in the incubator overnight and to my surprise was still very much alive this morning but he doesn't seem to be able to get up. Is there anything I can do to help him? Does he have any chance of surviving this? :(

I had a weak chick from the feed store with what I think was an umbilical hernia or some sort of problem with the umbilicus, like yours, but hers had dried up by the time I got her. She was very weak and needed extra TLC. I don't think she had eaten or drank anything at all. Fed her some sugar water and crumbles by hand for the first few days, and then she started slowly eating on her own. 5 years old now and still lays the occasional egg.
