Please help

Thanks so much for the information, I'll try lancing again tomorrow, I didn't have much luck today. I don't think I made the incision deep enough. I have coconut oil, tea tree oil and I'll see if I can get some oregano oil :)
I get oregano oil from here http://www.zanehellas.com/shop/oregano-oil-100-pure/ I don't work for them or have anything to do with them - I'm just a very satisfied customer and can recommend them if you can't get it locally.

The cut should be through all thicknesses of the skin that is covering the area. If you can start at an edge of the infected area that is already open, or take a scab off and then open it a little more, that would be great. Again, make sure you get as much out as possible, and flush with comfortably warm sterile or distilled water, or saline.

Hey, I tried lancing it but all I got was blood does that mean I'm doing something wrong? I think the inside of her beak, mouth and also her tongue have swollen up too so she can't close her beak. It's not looking good.

I might try cutting a larger and deeper incision tomorrow, I'm just paranoid that I'll end up cutting a sinus or something.

Thanks, I only just read that now, after I attempted lancing but I won't give up, I'll try again. Hopefully I can find the puss next time

It really looks and sound more like canker. It needs a drug that will treat it, such as the metronidazole mentioned in my earlier post, or another pigeon drug such as ronidazole that you may find locally in a pet store or at a vet's. If you can't, I would consider putting her down since she is probably suffering, and make suffocate if the tissue blocks her airway. I am sorry, but sometimes we cannot heal them. Here is a site that may help:

Thanks for the information, I do not have access to those drugs, unfortunately the only way you can get it here is through a vet. I had my suspicions about canker so I started treating her with copper sulfate, apparently it works.

Hey everyone, thanks for all your help. I thought I'd update you on Dori. We managed to find an avairian vet and we took Dori to see her. Unfortunately, the lump was actually cancer and she had to be put down, at least she is no longer suffering.
