Greetings!

I have a pekin duck named Ritz who is about a month and a half old now and has some issues. I have done lots of research on what could possibly be wrong with him but nothing really fits his symptoms. Before I say anything more, I'll list what's wrong with him.

Ritz has had wet rings around his eyes since he was around 3 weeks old. We didn't ever separate him from the other two ducks at first because there was nothing wrong with him besides his weird wet eyes. No crusty bits, no foam, nothing. So we let him be. However, last week I was saying good morning to my ducks and I noticed that Ritz had foam in the corner of one of his eyes. I immediately separated him from the flock (much to his chagrin) and began researching what could possibly be wrong with him. I thought perhaps he had a respiratory infection of some sort, and began flushing his eyes with saline solution and using VetRX on him every few hours. I also added ACV to his drinking and bathing water. It has now been a week now and he hasn't improved. I stopped treatment yesterday.

The only other strange thing about this poor duck is that his brothers are all white and sleek and handsome boys, while Ritz is kind of yellow and still has duckling fuzz on his rump and head. He also doesn't preen obsessively like the other ducks. I gave him a soapy bath this afternoon and he's cleaner now but still did not preen all of his feathers afterwards.

He's still a spunky little duck, and I love the little guy so much. I've tried to help him but I honestly have no idea what to do now. He seems fine besides being fuzzy and having the foamy wet eyes. What should I do? Do you guys know what could be wrong with him? A friend told me he might have a vitamin deficiency. Would that explain his symptoms? Please help me, I want to see my dear little Ritz well again. ♡
