Please Help!

Fecal will help. I personally doubt coccidiosis as usually they have poor appetite with that...but it could be possible.

My bet is still on worm load. Also look for external parasites. Bloodsucking mites can cause anemia and weight loss as well. For that permethrin spray or dust.

Let us know how she does.

And don't beat yourself up....it happens to the best of us.

it can actually be both, fecal float test would be good so you know what your treating, and a lot of times the vets will dispense the medication of a fee and per ml, with you either being able to get a specified amount of liquid or in pre dosed syringe. I am almost done with corrid for coccidosis and Monday they get their second deworming with Valbazen, I had to learn to treat it finally after 10 years of raising chickens due to some pullets I bought already had them.
Cost me 9.00 for the dewormer for the first treatment as they were so heavily overloaded you could see round worms in the stool, and and others had the cocci for bloody poops so all 6 pullets were treated for both as they were still in quarentine.

UPDATE:

Just saw the vet at noon. She has lice, that I didn't see even though I looked last night! We are treating her (and all of my other chickens) for the lice as well as internal parasites. He did not do a fecal but did look at her poop in her crate. I feel so bad for her but am happy to know what is wrong and be able to start treating it.

Since you live in Canada, you may be able to buy Panacur, a goat and horse wormer that contains fenbendazole, and will kill most worms. Dosage is 0.25 ml per pound of weight given orally for 5 consecutive days. If you can get amprol (amprollium) from your vet, you can also treat for possible coccidiosis in her water for 5-7 days. That will rule out 2 possible problems. It is surprising that the vet did not do a fecal test which is pretty basic. Some vets now send them out though. Watch to make sure that she is not being kept from food and water, and make sure that there are at least 2 feeding stations apart from each other. Did you mention what type of feed she is eating?
