I am so sorry about Ginger Please let us know what the vet says. Are they going to do a necropsy?

Thank you❤ she is our first loss so we are heart broken. we were up late and had to call the vet early, so while I was on the phone trying to get them to see the other ducklings in between their packed schedule I completely forgot to ask if they would look at her. I will call them back to ask before we leave, but I'm surprised they didn't ask.

The other birds should be weighed daily on a food scale, one of the primary indicators of a sick bird is weight loss, and in the case with your bird, she masked the symptoms until she was close to death. Dropping's should also be heavily monitored for the next week or so.

I would suggest sending her body in for a necropsy for a possible cause of death, and If you have the money having the other ducklings examined by an avian vet would be great. Sorry for your loss.

The other ducklings are going in now, but the vet said the necropsy was $800, so I can't do that
