If 3 of my chicks have no comb development and one has noticeable comb growth, is that one definitely a boy? Or do the comb rules not apply to these breeds? Just wondering since they're notoriously hard to sex and one chick does have a true comb while the others are completely flatI don't see anything cockerel like.
The face looks decidedly girly to me.
Pretty bird.
Whatever it is, it is very very very very cute!My polish silkie cross is about 8 weeks old and i have no idea if its a boy or a girl... most features tend to be more polish than silkie. Black comb, no waddles, bearded thanks to the silkie part
Ideally they will all be girls, but the comb on one is definitely popping up! I'll update with more pics when my 3 raggedy chicks fill out a bit moreUsually in all breeds the ones with noticeable comb growth are male.
I have to say, these types of breeds run circles around me.
I'm not seeing anything very boyish from any of yours yet.
