Please help

Sometimes it's easy and the flock accepts newcomers, other times it's not. I figure it's safest to assume the worst - that they won't accept them, and be pleasantly surprised if/when they do - than hope for the best and end up dealing with injuries.
So will they accept them eventually? And we are going to take the broader box we have and turn it over so they can see them and leave it in the coop.for a couple weeks. What do you think?

I think that's a good plan! And, yes, they will probably accept them eventually. But it takes time, and you don't want anyone to get hurt.

I'm sure you'll have one big happy flock!

That should work fine, as long as the flock can see the newcomers and the newcomers have some space to move around.

Goal isn't to have all the birds love one another, just tolerating is fine. As long as everyone can eventually co-exist without injury or resource guarding, I consider it a success.
