This is our first go with chickens. We have had them for over a year now and they've been healthy and great. We feed them organic food and clean water every day. They are free range and we have 2 roosters in the flock and 10 Hens. I just cracked an egg, no flaws on the outside of the egg, but the yolk was already broke before it hit the pan and it was slightly chunky. The other my mother in law sent us and it was from our flock. Any info would be great.

How were the eggs stored? I ask because it almost looks like an egg that froze and then thawed. Sometimes refrigerators can get a bit too cold.
It was actually the only egg left out of the carton for about 4 days but right in the front of the fridge. And our fridge is set at 40°. These are 2 separate eggs and the other egg that looks more whole we gave to my mother-in-law and I believe she stores hers in the fridge also.

The second picture seems like the egg was frozen by looking at the texture of the yolk.
I will have to ask my mother-in-law the temp of her fridge but it was in our fridge for about a week before we gave it to her and our refrigerator is set at 40°

My bet is on a little bit of accidental freezing rather than anything wrong with your hen.
