Please keep Penny in your prayers

Your puppy is in my prayers. Hope she has a smooth recovery.

Thank you. The vet wants to keep her overnight again tonight, but she said she is doing ok.

The vet said she is a lot more swollen than yesterday but is up and about. Hopefully tomorrow she can come home. It takes a while for the swelling to go down though and for them to feel back to normal.

Guineas are that good. They will chase them and eat them if they could. Get you a dozen, or so guineas.

I went to visit Penny today and took her her bed, because she can't come home yet. She looks terrible, but not as bad as my other dogs that got bitten did, and she was a lot perkier than I thought she'd be and very pleased to see me. It was horrible having to leave her, but at least I don't have the worry that I did with my pound puppies thinking that I wouldn't be back. I had to keep going back to say bye again, she always looks so sad! Hopefully she'll be able to come home on Monday. She needs a bath bad from her wounds draining, and I think it might make her feel better but i'll hold off until she's less sensitive. It was so good to see my puppalump

This is her on a better day, when she was 6 months old:

Penny came home today! The venom made her flesh rot, so she had to spend all this time at the vet's while they kept it clean. She has some gruesome looking holes still, but she's back to her usual self. The vet used the weirdest thing to help her heal - Preparation H. Penny grew back nearly 3 square inches of flesh between Friday and Monday! The vet says she uses it on all kinds of animals with open wounds and it works great. It saved her from having surgery!
