Please...my pet chicken is eggbound...time is of the essence

Lusty, Good to know she's still here too! The oatmeal or yogurt was just something yummy to mix the terrimycin in so she'd ingest some of the antibiotic.

I don't know if she's an internal layer. From previous experience the other hens who acted like this and had green poop ended up to be internal layers. Maybe this isn't the case.

In any case, she's eating, drinking and walking and pecking around like yours. Just slow.

She will go up to the shelf to sleep, but I have to get her down in the morning. My Silkies don't roost. The jump up on a bale of hay, then jump up to a long shelf where they sleep at night.

Keep us posted.

i've struggled with the whole concept of not wanting any of my animals to suffer. It's a hard call and very personal. If it reaches that point, you will know.

i tend to think that if they have any quality of life, if they are eating and drinking, and have even a moments joy, then hang in there. i guess i hope any caregiver of mine would have that perspective.

Hello, Maybe some Ivermectin would be appropriate? That would kill all lice and parasites with one dose. You can get it a Jeffers Pet supply in the Sheep section,

Have you considered asking a vet to x-ray the chicken to see if there is an egg inside? I would think even if they don't do birds that they would be able to tell if there was an egg inside versus a tumor, fluid, etc.

Guys, this is off topic, but how do you use quotes and include the name? For instance "airheart43 wrote"...and her quote?

I'm pretty computer savvy but can't figure this out...call me "airHEAD43"
