Is that really an Ameraucana? She's beautiful! She looks more chocolate brown than blue, I'd love to get some hatching eggs from her...

Yes, she is an ameraucana (she came from b/b/s/ ameraucana eggs), but she does have a funny way of holding herself (likes to stick her chest out) and is on the small side.
I think it adds to her personality. I'm no good with the names of chicken colors, have no idea what chocolate brown looks like, but she looks more black than brown to me - I think she's just a very dark blue?

She's the sweetest little thing (always right under me and lets me pet her) and blended in quickly with the new flock (even my older flock has accepted her quicker than they accepted my younger easter eggers).

I currently have her eggs in my incubator, but there won't be any more - I don't have roosters (not allowed) and can't breed my own chickens. Her's and her buddy's eggs (a splash ameraucana) were fertile when I purchased them, so I quickly made an incubator and the eggs are now on day 9. I candled them on day 7 and all were developing.

Would you be interested in shipping chicks?!

Well... the chicks are fathered by a blue wheaton roo, so I think that makes technically makes the chicks easter eggers? They'll probably be blue egg laying EEs since both parents are ameraucanas, but I have no idea what they'll end up looking like since the parents are too different colors - may not look anything like the hen. Also... I'm kind of afraid to mail chicks - might not be enough of them hatched to keep warm.

Ooh! I thought they would all be the gorgeous blue color. Darn. And Monahori doesn't ship either, right?

Sad day.
