Please Post Your Pics Of Landscaping Around Your Coop.

They bother everything "green"....lol......They did not do much damage to them but they destroyed our Hostas. I am going to reseach on more chicken-friendly plants and improve on the landscaping this next spring....This last year was a building year with 2 coop and runs and 2 tractors so next year is enjoy the chickens and make it all "pretty".....Thanks for the comments.....p.s. Every spring I plan to add a piece of sod in the grass "door mat" frame and it is a nice touch but I did not realize how fast they would destroy it...lol another project for spring....

The top one is for sale now. I built it for our 4 Seramas but then I hatched some Silkies to sell and my wife and grand-daughters love them and so I had to build another tractor for the Seramas which is the bottom one. I kept the Silkies in the top one until I built the middle one for them.

My brooder and wine fridge incubator I have built also.

I printed up the article of toxic plants and so far I have this list of plants I can use to landscape my chicken yard: palms, regular and ornamental grasses including monkey grass and liaope, gardinia bushes. These are ones that aren't on the toxic list and also they don't seem to want to eat. I live in Louisiana and all of these except the grasses stay nice over the winter. There are other plants like hostas, but they eat them in an hour or less.

Does anyone else know some plants that are not toxic that they don't seem interested in eating? Thanks!
