Call the dr's office, there should be a on-call service, explain you had the test done, and you need pain pills to deal with the pain, they should phone the prescription to your 24hour pharmacy. Should be like 2AM there? if someone is home to drive you, you can pick them up if you're not up to driving.

How come they only gave you 2 of those pills? That's so weird.

Call the doc and get more meds. Or see if there's a reason why you're in more discomfort that they expected.

And then bug them about test results

And above all, hang in there! We're thinking about you!!!

Ok I have said this before but am gonna say it again.

From seeing it first hand and knowing people who have fought cancer.

cut out all sugar, and I mean all of it, no fruit, even, and only eat organic food or food with no preservatives in it. Reasearch has found that cancer loves both and grows faster with it so by cutting it out of your diet you can really make a difference in how quickly the cancer grows and will help make the conventional cancer treatments more successful.

good luck thats some scary stuff. hope you feel better soon. But trust me about this it REALLY makes a differnce and slows the cancer down.

and yes i just got off the phone with the docs they are gona give me more better meds with this .. they said yea this could happen mainly to someone who has just got it done for the first time or whatever

but i can't get the meds until like 11

because i still can't drive and my mom car isn't working for her and my dad doesn't get off work until around 11ish

Mark I hope you get a good result from the test!

My hubby had the same procedure done. While they had him out he also had a vasectomy. The 'good' news about that was that the pain from the cyctoscopy made him not even notice any pain from the vasectomy...

I can't believe they sent you home from that with only two pills and no prescription. Pain killers are definately a good thing after that procedure.

Anyway, I'm just now seeing this today after my long hiatus from BYC. I hope all is well and you are feeling better soon!

Goodness no, Mark.....we aren't even gonna think cancer right now. I know you are going to be just fine once this pain goes away.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you're going to be fine what with your age and all the prayers that have been sent your way.
I was in my early 30s and a heavy smoker when I started having similar issues and they did the procedure you're talking about. (Plain ol' ibuprofen works wonders 800 mgs and drink a ton of water to dilute urine) They were saying the 'C' word with me too and told me that bladder and ureter cancer is common in smokers because that's how we expell toxins. (uh oh)
Everything came back negetive. It was just a stricture of scar tissue from surgeries I had as a infant/child. Goodnews tho: I quit smoking and am taking much better care of myself. After all I'm not as immortal as I like to think I am.

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. What the heck were they thinking only giving you two pills??

My MIL was funny when she was put under, too (she had many heart surguries, so there were lots of opportunities). She had dentures and would take them out and throw them at 'the bugs' that were flying around (and then we learned to take them away from her before they gave her anything). She tried to get the doctor to give her a good luck kiss (and she was MORTIFIED later on when she was told about this). Tried to place a food order with one of the nurses, told other nurses what jobs to go do (pertaining to HER real job, not theirs).

Drink tons of water to dilute your urine as much as you can until you can get those new pills.

i have been on the phone all evening with my docs office we gets there my doctor is gone and all he writes out is Tylenol WHAT THE HECK IS TYLENOL!!

so now my mom is on the phone with them now again... i am about to get back on there an give them a piece of my mind

.. ok wait my mom just told me that the nurse lady said the Doctor is in surgery and once he is out he will call me..... i have my phone right here next to me


if he doesn't give me something meant for this pain i am going to the ER because i can't take this pain ..... it already had me

5 times today ... i have been curled up in a ball in bed trying to rock the pain away ...

i am gonna have to get off here so i can get things done
