I have researched and researched hatching eggs, I have spent countless hours reading post about assisting chicks hatch. And from everything I have read Ms Steak is giving you great advice. Altho I have never hatched any myself....Ms Steak I hope you are around come Thursday-Saturday, I am expecting my first hatch. I may need moral support and guidance myself. the leg is partially out and it keeps kicking. it is not ready to come out and there is a blood vessel on the leg. if the leg comes out it will die.
WHAT DO I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! should i put the flap back over??? i feel so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it actually bleeding? When I did some assisted hatches, there was some pink membrane, but no blood once I got so far down.

Also, here may be blood vessels that are separate, not in the membrane, these haven`t bled for me. If anything does bleed sprinkle a little corn starch, or cornflour as we call it in the UK, that dries it up.

it looks like a bunch of blood vessels in a jelly like substance. thank you so much for the corn starch tip. ahhhhhh!!!!!! it's falling out of the egg!!!!!!!!!!
