Please Read and HELP!!

it looks like a bunch of blood vessels in a jelly like substance. thank you so much for the corn starch tip. ahhhhhh!!!!!! it's falling out of the egg!!!!!!!!!!
I had that in the one who died today. Someone said it is albumin.

At this point People say to leave it to get out of the last bit itself. See what happens if you give it a bit longer. It may still have the cord attached to the shell.

it is compeletly out of the egg and it is beating itself up on the metal rack in the incubator. should we put him under mama hen with his big sister, add shavings to the incubator, or put him in a box with shavings and a lamp.

I have never used a broody hen. I wish I had one. I have read people slip them under, and she accepts it. I don`t know if you have to wait till it`s dry. Try asking on the broody hen thread, someone on there should tell you.

Congratulations by the way!

thank you some much for all your help

Cookies and cream are now under mama. Cookies (permanent name pending...

) seemed to do a LOT better under Oreo(broody mama) then in a brooder, although he still seems pretty weak. But we're glad Cream (name also under construction) has a buddy. Here is a not-so-good pic of Cream and Oreo. When Cookies fluffs out more we'll post a pic of her/him too and a better one of Cream.
