so today my oldest hen mrs priss ( bought her two days ago. Has her nest made and laid an egg today. Well I placed three other Dominique eggs in her nest ( 4 eggs in total) and I come back later and she is setting on them! I know she wouldn’t just be sleeping in her nest cause she’s the dominant chicken right now and could easily roost if she wanted to. Post with your replies and thoughts

You might like to have an incubator on stan by incase she isn't serious and hops off midway through incubation. That's happened to me before. There's no real way of knowing what a first time broody might do

Update: went to check this morning and she was just eating a bunch she was being awful territorial and wouldn’t let younger ones eat while she was though.

I wouldn't be so quick to jump to the conclusion that she is broody after only having her two days.

She has not gotten used to her new home yet. Give her some time to get to know her surroundings.

You put her in with your other birds without quarantining?

Was she sold to you as a broody hen? Is that why you placed the other eggs in her nest? If you did not purchase her as a broody hen, since you've had her only a couple of days, is it possible that she may just be getting accustomed to her new place and trying to work out the new social order in her new flock?

They were all born in the same place and have been around each other tough different flocks, should be fine..:

Broody hens are very distinctive. She will have a "Cluck, Cluck, Cluck" sound when she's walking around. Also, she'll sit in the nest, eggs or not. When fully broody, most hens will protest and try to peck or bite you if you try to remove them from the next as well as fluffing their feathers out to make them look larger than they are. They even make growling noises. If she's not displaying any of these signs, she's most likely just getting used to her new surroundings, as well as letting the others know she intends to be the queen bee.

Some of that can be normal chicken behavior. If she was dust bathing, she would get up and fluff her feathers, flap her wings and shake off. If she is going broody, your biggest hint will be the "Cluck, Cluck" stuff and her hanging out for long periods of time in a nest.
