Please contact your local library and request that they order a few copies of "Raising Chickens for Dummies"!

Imagine if every member contacted their local library and got a few copies on the shelves? Then when peeps are looking for info on how to raise backyard chickens guess which website they will see on the cover?

It's really easy to do! My wife just requested the book be added to our regional libray online and it took her about 3 minutes.

You could also give them a call or visit and put in a request.

Here's the info you need!

Title: Raising Chickens for Dummies
Authors: Kimberley Willis & Rob Ludlow

# ISBN-10: 0470465441
# ISBN-13: 978-0470465448

Why don't we also call Barnes & Nobel and the other book stores to see if they carry it? Enough calls and they surely will order some.

Hopefully all the B&N, Borders, & Walden stores will already have them (or have them soon)... but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Getting them in the libraries is super easy with no cost to request it. Hopefully if all our members put in the requests now they will be in the libraries by next Spring so all the new peeps at the libraries will find their way here!

So it will be available at the libraries for checkout.

Many people don't have access to computers / internet, so having the book as a resource at the library for free is a great opportunity!

Our bylaw is in the process of being rewritten and the demand for chicken raising books far outweighs the supply.

Hopefully, they can order it in. Unfortunately, our government has decided to drastically cut library funding, so we shall see.
