Sitting inside, heard squawks coming from outside, ran outside, chicken feathers all over the place, one chicken missing, one injured. This hen's face is swollen and slightly purple. She also has some blood on the base of her beak. This happened about 10, 15, possibly 20 minutes ago. She was laying well and was very healthy. She is now eating and walking around, but when we found her she was hiding and in shock.
P.S.
This hen's eye was already misshapen, it didn't happen just now.
The 3rd picture shows the bloating the best, although it looks a lot worse in real life. The pictures also have a little bit to much red in them.

Update:

We found the chicken that was missing. She was deep in our woods. Recently we've had some hunting dogs around, and we think she must have been dragged into the woods by them (by her leg?). Before the attack, she was wearing a saddle because of lack of feathers on her back from being mated. But an large portion of her missing feathers are from the attack. She appears to not be able to stand, and one of her legs is limp and hanging (broken?).
Right now she is lying in this cardboard box in shock and has several wounds.
What should I do???? PLEASE HELP!!!

I am sorry to hear about your birds. I am a newbie but I've received a lot of good advice here on BYC that I'd be happy to share. When my chicken got attacked I was advised to irrigate the wounds gently but thoroughly (with plain water) and apply a thin coat of triple antibiotic ointment to the wounds and cover. This worked well however your case appears to be more severe. I'm concerned about the fleshy matter at the tip of her wing. Hopefully someone more experienced will respond soon to advise you on the broken leg, etc. I know it's stressful and wish u the best of luck.

Hello, There is a spray for wounds that is purple, I just cant think of the name.I have used it and it is really good. Had one of our chicks totally ripped open under the wing. The skin was gone and you could look right inside. I used that spray and gave her antibotics and she made it. You should start your chicken on antibiotic and cleanse the wounds often but if you can get the purple you can spray once a day and it is good. It also helps her from being picked on by the other chickens. Seriously get at least on and just keep it on hand. Good Luck

Okay. Yesterday I cleaned off her wounds with some hydrogen peroxide and water mixture because it appeared that it had some dirt in it, and I wanted to disinfect it, and then put some antibiotic cream on them.
Today the wounds look kind of purpley green.

I'll post a picture of them later.

blu-kote? We have some, but will it do any good since the chickens can't peck her wounds (she's in a rabbit cage by herself) and she's to weak to. I think that that is the main purpose of blu-kote, to keep them from pecking the wounds, but I could be wrong. Does it have antibiotics in it? Also, what do you mean by 'starting her on antibiotics', do you mean putting antibiotics in her water? Speaking of water, I haven't seen her drink or eat by herself since she was hurt. I force fed her some mushy pellets, put most of it ended up on her, not in her. I've also dipped her beak in the water several times, and she swallowed readily, but if I do it more than just a few times she starts flapping in my face, and each time she stops flapping she is visibly weaker. She insists on stretching her hurt leg out straight in front of her, and her unhurt leg behind her. She will at random start flapping her wings frantically, like she can't find her balance.

That is some hanging skin from the skin being ripped where the dog bit her, there is a deep tooth mark and it looks like the dog dragged her like that, thus ripping the skin.
I really hope her leg isn't broken, because it's probably already way to late to splint it. We've already decided that if we can't fix the leg and it is broken, we're going to put her down. I wish her leg was fine, because I have the feeling that the other wounds she has aren't enough to keep her from her normal activities (i.e. scratching, dustbathing, eating grass, that kind of thing.). I've felt all along her leg and I haven't found any wounds that would keep her from walking, so, paralysis? I say that because I would think that if her leg was actually broken there would be some kind of bruising or something, but there isn't.

One of our chickens now has a limp, it wasn't that noticeable at first, but now it is, she isn't dragging it or anything, she just avoids using that foot as much as possible and when she needs to use that foot she limps. I've felt all along that leg as well and haven't felt anything, no swelling, no abnormal colors, temperatures, nothing is different at all with that foot, she just, limps. What could have happened to her that causes her to limp but not to look or feel different?

Also, the hen who's face is swollen looks a little better, is laying, eating, and drinking just fine, but still has a drooping and purple crop/neck.

I believe it is Blu-kote and it can be used to disguise wounds BUT it is an antiseptic - protective wound dressing. Comes in a spray & bottle w/dauber cap. My Buff Orp that got attacked would not eat/drink for at least 3 days after the attack as she was in shock. I brought her inside, offered food, treats & water often. I Did have to force it in her for the 1st few days though.
Oh, BTW, the green bruising is normal. When I first saw it I thought it was mold! Not pretty :/

Oh, poor thing! I'm wondering if the leg is like that due to nerve damage since you are unable to find a break or any direct trauma to it. Is it the left leg? I'd be willing to bet it will resolve once the wounds start to close up. I'm no expert but if it were me, I'd be packing that deep tooth mark with the ointment and maybe switch to some diluted betadine in lieu of peroxide for cleaning as I was told it damages the chickens skin. Try to be patient with the healing process. It took a good 3 wks for my bird to fully recover. I'm glad to hear the one with the swollen Face is doing a bit better. :)

Thanks for all your advice, she passed away yesterday. :(
